Jim and Nora Lee are avid nature photographers. Although they have been doing this for over 20 years on a part-time basis they are now in a position do it even more! The collage above provides a quick snapshot into their lives before corporate retirements.
They have three exciting endeavors underway:
• Adding time-lapsed nature videos to this website;
• Launching one-of-a-kind festivals video blog and
• Publishing chipmunk-themed children books for National Parks.
Jim and Nora fell in love in the Caribbean over 25 years ago and dogs have always been an important part of their lives. They are big fans of Golden Retrievers as you can see in the collage above. Zoe and LaKota loved traveling in the RV on photo adventures. For them, a perfect day was dragging sea kelp on the beach and romping in the ocean. With the passing of Zoe, LaKota went into mourning until the arrival of Bella. There are many, many more trips to seashores ahead for LaKota and Bella!
Jim’s photographic passion and experiences blend old school techniques with the latest technology. Jim is an excellent teacher who shares his experiences ranging from a free-lance photographer working with National Geographic staff to a Fortune 30 corporate art director. He is a huge advocate of the National Parks and agrees with Ansel Adams when he said “Sometimes I arrive just when God’s ready to have someone click the shutter.” By the way, Jim also loves taking Top Chef video courses and is now a self-made gourmet cook!
For the past twenty years, Nora has been a faithful protégé of Jim’s mentoring. She was delighted to win both first and third place in photography at Sprint Headquarters where 16,000 employees were eligible to enter. Nora is a very creative person who possesses a vivid imagination and fine-tuned skills. She believes with Mary Lou Cook that “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.” It’s finally time in Nora’s life to let go and be as creative as possible!
